In this course, we will make a journey through the history of US-American literature in the course of which we will encounter and discuss three influential/canonical American writers such as Walt Whitman, Ernest Hemingway and Philip Roth. During our course, we will discuss not only selected works by the aforementioned writers, but also talk about different (literary) periods and genres.
