Contents, comment

In this course we will analyze three selected novels by William Faulkner (1897-1962), a Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winner and one of the great US-American writers. We will discuss the author and his works, and while doing so we will also discuss issues such as the North American South, race, class, gender, and literary (sub-) genres, i.e., Southern gothic and literary modernism.
