Nach den Avantgarde-Bewegungen entsteht eine neue ‚realistische‘ Literatur und Kunst, sich mit den modernen medialen und sozialen Verhältnissen auseinandersetzt. Die Texte zielen auf ein breites Publikum und sind entsprechend ‚leicht‘ zu lesen. Sie überbrücken die Kluft zwischen der ‚hohen Dichtung‘ und der ‚breiten Unterhaltungsliteratur‘. Das Seminar will das ästhetische Programm dieser neusachlichen Kunst, die Darstellungs- und Erzählstrategien sowie deren gesellschaftlichen Voraussetzungen und Implikationen erkunden.
