Please note: The class will be taught as an online-course in this semester!
Furthermore, the Tutorial will be integrated into the course and not take place as an independant class.
This course will introduce first-year students to the basics of literary studies - the tools of the trade, as it were. Participants will be taught the terms and methods of analysis and interpretation of texts in the three main literary genres, poetry, drama and narrative. Primary and secondary texts discussed in class will be made available on the Lernraum.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
