In diesem Kurs steht das wissenschaftliche Fachgespräch im Mittelpunkt: Anhand einer Reihe thematisch einschlägiger neuerer Texte sollen Fragen an eine Kultur- und Sozialgeschichte der Religionen im 19. Jahrhundert formuliert und (nach Möglichkeit) auch beantwortet werden. Zugleich bietet der Kurs den Teilnehmern die Möglichkeit, im "geschützten" Raum eines kleinen Seminars eigenverantwortlich und in stärkerem Maße als sonst am Seminar aktiv mitzuarbeiten: sei es bei der Auswahl der Texte und Schwerpunkte, sei es im Ablauf der einzelnen Sitzungen.

Der Kurs richtet sich an interessierte Studierende des Masterstudiums.
