Die Vorlesung Einführung in die Forschungsmethoden der Psychologie ist eine Veranstaltung im Bachelorstudiengang Psychologie (Kernfach und Nebenfach). Die Vorlesung führt in die methodischen und statistischen Grundlagen der Psychologie ein. Dazu zählen Erkenntnisgewinnung, Erhebungstechniken (Beobachtung, Befragung und Experiment), Messen, Skalenniveaus und Beschreibungsparameter von Stichproben. Den Schwerpunkt der Veranstaltung bildet das psychologische Experiment von der Konzeptionierung bis zur Ergebnisinterpretation. Zudem geht es um Probleme, mit denen die Experimentalpsychologie sich konfrontiert sieht. In der Vorlesung werden exemplarische Studien zur Illustration und Vertiefung der jeweiligen Lehrinhalte besprochen. Dabei wird auch auf Arbeitstechniken im Psychologiestudium eingegangen. Insbesondere das Lesen empirischer Texte und die Suche nach Fachliteratur werden behandelt.

Formale Voraussetzung ist die Immatrikulation im BSc-Studiengang Psychologie (Kernfach) oder Nebenfach; empfohlen für BSc Psychologie 1. Semester.
