Die Veranstaltung wird als dreiteiliges Blockseminar durchgeführt und befasst sich mit Fragen zur Lesekompetenz im Fremd- und Zweitsprachenkontext. Im ersten Teil soll der DaF-Kontext in den Blick genommen werden. Dabei geht es um Faktoren und Voraussetzungen, welche die Fertigkeit Lesen beeinflussen, um Unterstützungsmöglichkeiten während des Leseprozesses und Anforderungen an das Lesen wissenschaftlicher Texte. Der zweite Block beschäftigt sich mit dem Lesen in der Zweitsprache im Fachunterricht. Hierbei werden (sprachliche) Herausforderungen von (schulischen) Fachtexten und Möglichkeiten der fachintegrativen Unterstützung thematisiert. Im dritten Block sollen konkrete Didaktisierungsvorschläge zu Lesetexten erarbeitet und diskutiert werden.
