Das Seminar beschäftigt sich mit dem Zusammenhang von (Gruppen)Identitäten bzw. (Gruppen)Zugehörigkeiten und unterschiedlichen Formen des Aktivismus und des Protests.
Im ersten Teil des Seminars findet zunächst eine theoretische Auseinandersetzung mit den Themengebieten (Gruppen)Identitäten bzw. (Gruppen)Zugehörigkeiten, (Selbst)Positionierung und auch Partizipation, Aktivismus und Protest statt.
Im zweiten Teil des Seminars schauen wir uns exemplarisch einige Protest- und Aktivismusformen (wie z.B. Umweltaktivismus, Frauenbewegungen, LGBT-Bewegungen, Protestmedien usw.) in Zusammenhang mit den jeweiligen Gruppenbildungsprozessen genauer an. Als Ergebnis des Seminars wird angestrebt, dass die Teilnehmer*innen zwischen verschiedenen Formen des Aktivismus, Protest & Partizipation auf konzeptioneller Ebene unterscheiden können, und diese rahmen können sowie begründen können aus welchen Zugehörigkeiten und Selbstpositionierungen solche Formen entstehen können. Die aktive Mitarbeit und Teilnahme an Diskussionen und die Bereitschaft englischsprachige Texte zu lesen wird erwartet.
