Das Seminar führt in klassische Theorien und aktuelle Theoriediskussionen sowohl der europäischen Integration als auch der regionalen Kooperation in anderen Weltregionen ein. Ein Schwerpunkt wird dabei auf den Stärken und Schwächen gängiger Theorieangebote für das Verständnis von Krisen der regionalen Integration und Kooperation liegen. Daher werden auch neuere Ansätze zur Theoretisierung von regionalen Desintegrationstendenzen diskutiert.
