Dieses Seminar bietet einen Überblick über verschiedene Ansätze und Methoden der vergleichenden Sozialpolitikforschung.
Im ersten Teil beschäftigen wir uns mit Definitionen und Formen von Sozialpolitik, und mit daraus resultierenden typischen Forschungsfragen.
Im zweiten Teil lernen wir die Unterschiede zwischen qualitativen und quantitativen Ansätzen in der Sozialpolitikforschung kennen.
Im dritten Teil geht es um Deutschland im Kontext der Wohlfahrtsregimetheorie.
Im vierten Teil beschäftigen wir uns mit Regimeansätzen außerhalb der OECD-Welt.
Im vierten Teil sehen wir uns konkreter sozialpolitische Vergleiche innerhalb der OECD-Länder und global an. Außerdem vergleichen wir einige Länder exemplarisch.
Im abschließenden Teil sehen wir uns sozialpolitischen Antworten auf die Corona-Krise an.

Voraussetzungen:
Idealerweise wird dieses Seminar von Studierenden besucht, die bereits mindestens ein anderes sozialpolitisches Seminar (z.B. Einführung in die Sozialpolitik Deutschlands) besucht haben.
