Theorien / theoretische Ansätze können bekanntlich gewählt werden, aber nur mit ihren jeweiligen Folgen. Im Seminar werden ausgewählte Theorien der Organisation (oder: Ansätze der Organisationsforschung) theoriehistorisch und systematisch rekonstruiert sowie kritisch-vergleichend im Hinblick auf Gesichtspunkte ihrer Leistungsfähigkeit diskutiert.
Aus welchen theoriehistorischen Kontexten sind verschiedene Organisationstheorien mit welchem (strategischen) Anspruch hervorgegangen? Wie und mit welchen Implikationen sind diese Theorien grundbegrifflich an die Soziologie angeschlossen? Welchen Anspruch stellen sie im Hinblick auf eine auch gesellschaftstheoretische Anbindung? Wie breit oder wie eng, wie spezifisch oder wie diffus bestimmen sie das Phänomen - aus welchem Grunde und mit welchen Folgen?

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
Sinnvolle Teilnahme am Seminar setzt die Bereitschaft zur Lektüre und Vorbereitung von Texten - auch längeren bzw. mehreren - voraus.
Die Studienleistung bezieht sich auf die vertiefte Vorbereitung der Diskussion von einer der ausgewählten Theorien (der genaue Arbeitsmodus wird zu Beginn des Semesters in Abhängigkeit der Teilnehmerzahl festgelegt).
Einzelleistungen werden in Form von Hausarbeiten mit eigenen Fragestellungen erbracht. (Hausarbeiten haben auch in diesem Theorieseminar selektive Fragestellungen, bestehen also nicht lediglich in der Darstellung einer ausgewählten Organisationstheorie).
