Die Demokratie steht in Frage. Ihr Zustand wird beklagt, ihre Kraft bezweifelt, ihr Absterben prophezeit. Es ist Zeit, dass wir uns aufs Neue vergewissern, was es mit der Demokratie auf sich hat: Was macht Demokratie aus? Was soll sie ausmachen? Wie unterscheidet sie sich von anderen politischen Systemen? Was sind ihre normativen Grundlagen? Welchen Wert hat sie? Diesen Fragen werden wir mit Hilfe von Texten klassischer und moderner Autoren diskutieren. Das Seminar bietet eine Einführung in normative Demokratietheorien.

Empfohlene Vorkenntnisse: Abschluss des ersten Studienjahres (beide Grundkurse, Philosophischer Einstieg und Philosophisches Schreiben).
