202544 Spezialmodul "Von der Wahrnehmung zum Verhalten'" (Ü+Pr) (SoSe 2019)

Kommunikation zwischen Tieren erfolgt mittels vielfältiger Mechanismen und entsprechend auf sehr unterschiedlichen Komplexitätsstufen. Diese Bandbreite wird am Beispiel schwachelektrischer Fische und der Kommunikation zwischen Vögeln in diesem Spezialmodul in Theorie und Praxis vorgestellt. Hierzu werden verschiedene verhaltensbiologische Methoden zur qualitativen und quantitativen Analyse von Kommunikationsverhalten eingesetzt. Neben Grundlagen zur olfaktorischen und elektrischen Kommunikation werden so in praktischen Versuchen Untersuchungen durchgeführt, die beispielsweise Methoden zur Quantifizierung olfaktorischen Verhaltens, die Bedeutung von Kommunikation zur Bildung von sozialen Rangstrukturen und den Komplex „Kommunikation versus Orientierung“ umfassen.
