240034 Proseminar: Monster & Co: Die endlichen einfachen Gruppen (PS) (SoSe 2019)

Jede natuerliche Zahl kann in ihre Primfaktoren zerlegt werden. Genauso zerlegt sich jede endliche Gruppe in einfache Faktoren. Im Gegensatz zu den Primzahlen konnten diese einfachen Faktoren, die endlichen einfachen Gruppen klassifiziert werden. In dem Proseminar werden wir zwei unendliche Familien und verschiedene Exemplare der faszinierenden 26 Ausnahmegruppen, den sporadischen, kennenlernen. Insbesondere werden wir auch die mit diesen Gruppen zusammenhaengende Kombinatorik betrachten.
