Die Eintagesexkursion beginnt mit einem Theorieteil über die Geschichte der Lichenologie, Flechtensymbiose, über die Ökologie und Verbreitung der Flechten und schlussendlich über die Flechten im Bezug "Mensch". Im Anschluss findet bei Wind und Wetter eine Exkursion in und um den Bielefelder Westen statt und endet auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt in der Altstadt.

Schreibzeug, wetterfeste Kleidung und Verpflegung sind mitzubringen. Sollte die Exkursion wetterbedingt ausfallen, wird das am Abend vor der Exkursion bis 18 Uhr per E-mail bekannt gegeben.
