Ziel ist es, Verletzungen und Verletzungsmuster zu kennen und erkennen zu können wenn sie auftreten („Hallendiagnostik“) und den Arzt bei der Einleitung einer zielführenden Diagnostik zu unterstützen (Beschreibung der Biomechanik des Bewegungsablaufes als Anhaltspunkt). Zudem sollen den Studierenden präventive Maßnahmen und Therapieformen bekannt sein.
