Die Erzählungen von den krummen Touren Jakobs in der Bibel (Gen 25-36) lesen sich spannend wie ein Krimi. Was für eine zwiespältige Figur, die mitten im allzu Menschlichen tiefe Gotteserfahrungen macht. Die Jakobserzählung spricht urmenschliche Erfahrungen und Sehnsüchte an. Gleichzeitig hat sie eine politische Dimension, indem sie von der Erwählung des Kleineren, vom Verhältnis Israels zu den Nachbarvölkern und der Geschichte der Stämme Israels erzählt.
Wir wollen im Blockseminar die Jakobserzählung in ihren vielschichtigen Dimensionen kennen lernen, nebenbei Einblick erhalten in verschiedene Methoden alttestamentlicher Textauslegung und uns auf diesem Wege vertraut machen mit einer der zentralen Figuren des Alten Testaments.
