Fallarbeit (Case-Work, Einzelfallhilfe) und Fallanalyse in der Tradition von Fritz Schütze, Burghardt Müller und im Rahmen der Forschung zum Capability Approach haben in der Erziehungswissenschft eine wichtige Bedeutung. Neben den sozialwissenschaftlichen Beiträgen kommen psychoanalytische und systemische Zugangsweisen zum Fall hin. Hierher gehören die Beiträge von Balint und Selvini Pallazoli. Im Seminar werden zunächst Theorien und Verstehenszugänge zum Fall vorgestellt. Sodann werden Fälle aus der pädagogischen Praxis diskutiert. Anhand der Theorie erstellen die Studierenden Verläufe und analysieren Einflussfaktoren im Fall. Fokus ist Verstehen und Beraten von komplexen Fällen.
