Eine Kooperationsveranstaltung mit Paul John, Lehrbeauftragter für Medienbildung im
Zentrum für Lehren und Lernen und dem Bundesverband Jugend und Film, FrankfurtKinderfilme sind heute zu großen Teilen ‚mediale Subkultur’. Sie sind im Kino und im Fernsehen selten oder kaum vertreten, aber nach einigem Suchen spürt man sie im Internet auf. Dominieren tun in Kino und TV die sogenannten ‚Familienfilme’, die eben für alle Altersgruppen gedacht sind – ohne den typischen Bezug zur Erlebniswelt insbesondere von Kindern.
Trotzdem werden auch heute noch viele Kinderfilme produziert, sowohl Kurz- als auch Langfilme. Bekannt sind herausragende Beispiele aus den skandinavischen Ländern, aus den Niederlanden, aus der Schweiz und Österreich.
Im Zuge der Veranstaltung wollen wir neue Kinderfilme vorstellen und diskutieren. Dazu kommen ‚Klassiker’ der Kinderfilmszene, die uns die Möglichkeit geben, die Herkunft und die Wurzeln des Kinder- und Jugendfilms kennenzulernen.
Besonders angesprochen werden Leiterinnen und Leiter von Kinderkino-Spielstellen und Studierende, die einen späteren beruflichen Schwerpunkt in der Kinderfilmarbeit
sehen.
