Grammatikalisierung ist eine wichtige Form von grammatischem Wandel, bei dem aus Lexemen grammatische Formative entstehen. Sprachkontakt ist ein möglicher Auslöser dieses Sprachwandels. Das Seminar gibt einen Einblick über die Theorien von Sprachkontakt und Grammatikalisierung. Anhand von verschiedenen Fallstudien von kontakt-induzierter Grammatikalisierung wird außerdem ein Überblick über die Typologie von Sprachkontakten vermittelt.
