In diesem Seminar werden aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse vorgestellt und diskutiert, die sich mit dem Einfluss der Amygdala auf die visuelle Verarbeitung emotionaler Reize befassen.
Darüber hinaus werden methodische Aspekte der vorgestellten Studien genauer betrachtet, wie z.B. experimentelle Paradigmen oder EEG und fMRT als Untersuchungsmethode. In diesem Rahmen werden in zwei praktischen Sitzungen exemplarisch fMRT-Daten ausgewertet und die Ergebnisse interpretiert.

Allgemeine Voraussetzung ist die aktive Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung und der Diskussion des Stoffes. Leistungspunkte werden durch die Gestaltung einer Sitzung in Kleingruppen sowie einer kurzen stichwortartigen Zusammenfassung der Inhalte erworben.
Zusätzlich kann eine benotete Leistung in Form einer schriftlichen Ausarbeitung erbracht werden.
