EmoSonics - Android Game Development for autistic chilrden to better recognize and articulate emotions by using computer-generated sound"

EmoSonics is a project on developing auditory tools for young children to understand and express emotional sound, especially for children with autism spectral disorder. In the previous project, students have developed an android adventure game that let player to help other villagers to find the correct emotional sound that suits a particular social scenario. The new project can lead into a few possible directions:
1. Continue the current game development with new game features and improved playing experience.
2. Exploring novel ways of game interactions that makes it particularly suitable for young children
3. A new game development that features a Tetris style of gameplay to `capture’ target emotional sound.
You will learn:
- Game development
- Designing game features, user interaction
- Related software/language such as Unity and C#

Please note that the teams will be selected by the supervisors on the basis of short applications that students are expected to send to them. Registering to the project in the ekVV will only be regarded as expression of interest; it will not secure a team membership.
Please get in touch with the supervisors for information on the application procedure.

Required skills:
- Basic knowledge in C#, game development and Unity.
