Zunehmend arbeiten und/oder studieren junge Menschen - oftmals für einen begrenzten Zeitraum - im Ausland, häufig innerhalb der EU. In diesem Seminar analysieren wir verschiedene Aspekte dieses Migrationsprozesses am Beispiel von jungen Menschen aus verschiedenen EU Mitgliedstaaten in Deutschland. Wir nehmen dabei häufig direkten Bezug auf die Ergebnisse eines Forschungsprojektes zu diesem Thema (www.ymobility.eu), das u.a. an der Universität Bielefeld durchgeführt wurde. Inhaltlich befassen wir uns mit verschiedenen Gründen für Migrationsentscheidungen junger Menschen, mit ihren Erfahrungen und zukünftigen privaten und beruflichen Perspektiven, sowie mit den möglichen Folgen von Migration auf Gesellschaften in den Herkunfts- und Zielländern. Des Weiteren analysieren wir kritisch, welche Auswirkungen die bestehenden politischen Rahmenbedingungen auf die persönliche und berufliche Entwicklung von jungen mobilen Menschen in der EU haben können.

Studierende sollten idealerweise über erste Vorkenntnisse zum Themenbereich Migration verfügen. Vorausgesetzt wird die Bereitschaft zur vorbereitenden Lektüre der angegebenen Texte und der aktiven Teilnahme an den Veranstaltungen.

a) Aktive Teilnahme/Studienleistung: Kurze Vorstellung eines in der jeweiligen Sitzung besprochenen Thema und Moderation der anschließenden Diskussion (einzeln oder in der Gruppe, mit PPT).
b) Benotete Einzelleistung): Hausarbeit, ca 10 Seiten, individuell verfasst zu einem im Seminar diskutierten Thema (nach Absprache), Abgabetermin: 31.10.2018
