261026 Einführung in die Philosophie des Geistes (S) (SoSe 2018)

Was sind geistige Zustände? Erfordern geistige Zustände das Postulat einer nicht-materiellen Seele oder lassen sich geistige Zustände auf materielle Zustände (wie z.B. Gehirnzustände) zurückführen? Wie können geistige Zustände von Dingen in der Welt handeln? Was hat es mit dem Bewusstsein auf sich und welche Spielarten des Bewusstseins kann man unterscheiden? Mit diesen und weiteren Fragen werden wir uns im Seminar intensiv auseinandersetzen.

Das Seminar gibt eine systematische Einführung in die Philosophie des Geistes. Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich. Da sämtliche Seminartexte in englischer Sprache abgefasst sind, sind gute englische Lesekompetenzen für einen Besuch des Seminars unentbehrlich.
