Das Seminar diskutiert neuere kultur- und geschlechtergeschichtliche Zugänge zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus. Es beschränkt sich dabei nicht auf den engeren Zeitraum 1933-1945, sondern diskutiert den Nationalsozialismus im Kontext des 20. Jahrhunderts. Anhand von Sekundärliteratur und Primärquellen werden Ursachen langer und kürzerer Dauer für das Entstehen der NS-Gesellschaft diskutiert, das Selbstverständnis ihrer Mitglieder, In- und Exklusionsprozesse sowie Formen von Gewalt.
