Als eine Pädagogik, die sich auf migrationsgesellschaftliche Wirklichkeiten bezieht, fokussiert die Migrationspädagogik jene widersprüchlichen Prozessen, die durch Migrationsphänomene in Bewegung gesetzt werden. Es geht ihr um das Verhältnis von Migration und Pädagogik, um Macht- und Dominanzverhältnisse, um Zugehörigkeitsordnungen.
Im diesem Seminar soll nachvollzogen werden, was unter migrationspädagogischen Perspektiven verstanden werden kann. Dazu werden grundlegende Begriffe, Konzepte und Herangehensweisen erörtert und diskutiert. Das Spektrum an wissenschaftstheoretischen, empirischen, medialen, alltagstheoretischen und praxisbezogenen Zugängen soll dabei im Seminar eine wesentliche Rolle spielen.
