In diesem Seminar zur Vertiefung qualitativer Methoden werden narrative biografische Interviews vertieft und in den Kontext sozialer Ungleichheit (insbesondere Armut) gestellt.
So soll der theoretisch-methodologische Zusammenhang zwischen Armut und Biografie behandelt werden und Ansätze der Biografieforschung in diesem Kontext erprobt und diskutiert werden. Dabei geht es um die Biografie als Medium, mit dem sich das Individuum mit der (Arbeits-) Gesellschaft verbindet bzw. Handlungsorientierungen von sich aus in Richtung Gesellschaft "einrichtet" und wie sich dieses alltagsweltliche Verfahren a) in Armutslagen gestaltet und b) für die Sozialforschung erkenntnisfördernd sein könnte.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
Studienleistung: Referat bzw. freie Sitzungsmoderation zu einem der Seminarthemen, auch Gruppenarbeit möglich.
Prüfungsleistung: Hausarbeit/Forschungsbericht (15-20 Seiten) zu einem frei zu wählendem Thema aus dem Seminar.
In beiden Leistungen werden die Kenntnis der gemeinsam im Seminar entwickelten Aspekte vorausgesetzt bzw. werden deren Unkenntnis erfahrungsgemäß bemerkt. Eine an den Seminarverlauf kaum anschlussfähige Stipvisite - beliebt: nur für das eigene Referat - oder eine "teilnahmslose" Seminararbeit ist hier also nicht erwünscht :-)
