Ce séminaire combine une unité traditionnelle de l'enseignement universitaire français, l'analyse de textes, avec de nouvelles méthodes de la linguistique appliquée. Nous allons faire connaissance de ces méthodes en essayant de les appliquer à l'analyse détaillée de textes français issus de médias différents (textes écrits et textes parlés, documents audios et vidéos). A la place d'un exposé oral traditionnel la contribution des étudiants consistera dans une participation intense au travail en groupes. Ce travail collectif pendant les séances peut ensuite faire l'objet d'une remise d'un devoir écrit d'environ 15 pages.
