Niklas Luhmanns Buch „Legitimation durch Verfahren“ erschien vor fünfzig Jahren. Eine Tagung, die unlängst aus diesem Anlass in Luzern stattfand, bezeugt ein nach wie vor lebhaftes Interesse an den provozierenden Thesen des Bandes. Der Blockkurs soll textnah in diese Diskussion einführen und sich mit eigenen Beiträgen an ihr beteiligen. Das gilt vor allem für die Frage, ob der systemtheoretische Verfahrensbegriff sich eignet, auch Verfahren der Streitschlichtung oder polizeiliche Ermittlungsverfahren zu analysieren. Er setzt eine Vertrautheit mit dem Buch und vor allem die Kenntnis des zentralen Kapitels über Gerichtsverfahren voraus. Die Anschaffung des Buches wird empfohlen.
