Die Veranstaltung vermittelt grundlegende Kenntnisse über Kommunikation und Methoden ihrer Analyse. Inhaltliche Schwerpunkte bilden die theoretische Fundierung des Kommunikationsbegriffs, die Darstellung von Analyseverfahren, die Systematisierung kognitiver und situativer Voraussetzungen für den Ablauf von Kommunikationsprozessen und die Kennzeichnung von praktischen Anwendungsgebieten der Kommunikationsanalyse. Einbezogen werden vielfältige Formen von Kommunikation: interpersonale Kommunikation zwischen individuellen Sprechern, organisationale Kommunikation in Institutionen aller Art, öffentliche und in diesem Zusammenhang vor allem massenmediale Kommunikation, interkulturelle Kommunikation.
Literatur wird zu Veranstaltungsbeginn angegeben.
