Die Berücksichtigung der Genderfrage stellt auch im pädagogischen Alltag von Schule und Unterricht ein Qualitätsmerkmal dar, denn durch das Grundgesetzt der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ist der Staat zum aktiven Herstellen von geschlechterbezogener Chancenleichheit verpflichtet. Diese Forderung gilt es auch im Schulbereich durchzusetzen (Gendermainstreaming).
Gefordert sind- Konzepte geschlechterbezogener und -gerechter Schulentwicklung,
- veränderte Kommunikations- und Kooperationsformen,
- in allen Unterrichtsfächern eine Vielfalt an motivierenden Unterrichtsinhalten und -methoden,
- eine Veränderung der Berufs- und Lebensplanung der Mädchen und Jungen und
- eine Erweoterung der Sozial- und Fachkompetenz beider Geschlechter
