250405 2nd Summer School on Health Literacy: Research, Policy and Advocacy (S) (SoSe 2017)

Contents, comment

The 2nd HLCA Summer School is organised under the framework of health literacy research, policy, and advocacy. It will provide both a general and a specific overview on theoretical and practical evidence regarding health literacy. Participants will be introduced into:

  • conceptual and methodological considerations,
  • the use of measurement methods and data analysis,
  • barriers and benefits within population studies, including children, adolescents, and vulnerable groups,
  • setting approaches, including organisations as well as clinical/medical and community settings,
  • intervention studies,
  • health literacy policy-making and social issues,
  • advocacy for health literacy and health literacy champions, including skill development.
