The 2nd HLCA Summer School is organised under the framework of health literacy research, policy, and advocacy. It will provide both a general and a specific overview on theoretical and practical evidence regarding health literacy. Participants will be introduced into:
- conceptual and methodological considerations,
- the use of measurement methods and data analysis,
- barriers and benefits within population studies, including children, adolescents, and vulnerable groups,
- setting approaches, including organisations as well as clinical/medical and community settings,
- intervention studies,
- health literacy policy-making and social issues,
- advocacy for health literacy and health literacy champions, including skill development.
