Das Seminar begleitet und ergänzt die Vorlesung. Einerseits wollen wir schwierigere Probleme aus der Vorlesung noch einmal aufgreifen und differenzierter diskutieren. Andererseits werden einzelne Dramen gründlicher besprochen, wiederum, wie im Sommersemester 2004, unter dem Gesichtspunkt, warum es eine literarische Gattung gibt, die durch Leid, Schmerz und Tod einerseits und Gewalt und Aggressivität andererseits konstituiert wird. Die tragödientheoretischen und literarischen Texte werden aus der Frühen Neuzeit stammen (von Shakespeare bis Schiller und Hegel).
