Stephen Darwall hat nach einer ganzen Reihe von Arbeiten zur zeitgenössischen und zur traditionellen Moralphilosophie vor kurzem das Buch The Second-Person Standpoint: Respect, Morality, and Accountability. (Cambridge, MA: Harvard University Press 2008) veröffentlicht, worin er einen neuen ethischen Ansatz, orientiert an der direkten Beziehung zwischen zwei Personen vorstellt. Er wird seinen Ansatz beim diesjährigen Pfingstkurs vom 17. bis 19. Juni hier in Bielefeld vortragen. Als Vorbereitung dazu dient dieser Kurs, in dem ausgewählte Kapitel des Buches und gegebenenfalls frühere Arbeiten von Darwall diskutiert werden.
Die Grundlage für die Vergabe von Leistungspunkten (im BA- oder Master of Education-Studiengang) wird zu Beginn des Semesters bekannt gegeben.
Im Masterstudiengang erfolgt der Erwerb von Leistungspunkten ausschließlich auf Modulebene.

Diese Veranstaltung richtet sich in erster Linie an Masterstudierende im Fach Philosophie. BA-Studierende der Philosophie oder andere Studierende können nach persönlicher und rechtzeitiger Rücksprache mit den Veranstaltenden zugelassen werden. Im Bedarfsfall kann die Veranstaltung (mit 3 LP) für ein BA-Hauptmodul angerechnet werden.
