Contents, comment

Erst nach Kants neuartiger, nämlich formaler Prägung des Aufklärungsbegriffs in praktisch-moralischer Hinsicht ("Ausgang des Menschen aus seiner selbstverschuldeten Unmündigkeit" - "Die wichtigste Revolution in dem Innern des Menschen") als "Denkungsart" in der "Maxime, jederzeit selbst zu denken" und damit auch im Gebrauch seines Verstandes Herr seiner selbst zu werden, wird "Aufklärung" auch zum Epochenbegriff für das 18. Jahrhundert. Die mit der Neuprägung verbundene emanzipatorische Stoßrichtung führt aber alsbald zur konservativen Reaktion, sodass auch bezüglich der Aufklärung bis heute gesagt werden kann, "Von der Parteien Gunst und Hass verwirrt schwankt ihr Charakterbild in der Geschichte".

Anhand ausgewählter Texte wollen wir uns einen Überblick über die in den Kontroversen zur Aufklärung wirksamen Argumentationen verschaffen.

Grundlage für die Vergabe von Leistungspunkten (im BA- und MA of Education-Studiengang) sind Referate mit anschließender schriftlicher Ausarbeitung auf 6 bis 8 Seiten.

BA: Abschluss des ersten Studienjahres.
Regelmäßige Teilnahme und Vorbereitung.
