Das Seminar hat die erziehungswissenschaftlichen Dimensionen des demografischen Wandels zum Gegenstand. Diskutiert wird vorwiegend über erziehungswissenschaftliche Zugänge zum hohen Alter mit den Scherpunkten Geschlecht, Migration, hochaltrige Paare, weiterhin zur Demenz und zum Thema Familie. Berücksichtigt werden interdisziplinäre Theorien zur Entwicklung der Generationsbeziehungen. Schließlich werden Beratungsangebote und Ansätze für alte Menschen und ihre Familien betrachtet.
