Die europäischen Einflüsse auf das deutsche Recht haben in den letzten Jahren enorm zugenommen.
Im Privatrecht sind vor allem Richtlinien und die Rechtsprechung des EuGH von Bedeutung. Die EU-Richtlinien müssen in das deutsche Recht umgesetzt werden. Daher gibt es heute im BGB zahlreiche Vorschriften europäischen Ursprungs, beispielsweise das AGB-Recht (AGB = "Kleingedrucktes") und zum Fernabsatz (z.B. Handel im Internet). In den anderen privatrechtlichen Grundkursen kommen diese hochgradig examens- und praxisrelevanten Themen meist nur kurz vor. Vor allem aber gelten im sog. Verbraucherrecht teilweise andere Regeln.

Optimal wäre es, parallel den (öffentlichrechtlichen) GK Europarecht bei Prof. Mayer zu besuchen.
