Die beiden Vorlesungen Biopsychologie I & II geben einen Überblick über die Grundlagen und Methoden der Biopsychologie. Sie bilden den Grundstein für das Studium der kognitiven Neurowissenschaften. Ziel ist das Verständnis der Organisation und Funktionsweise des menschliche Nervensystems sowie neurowissenschaftlicher Forschungsmethoden im Kontext der Erforschung der Zusammenhänge zwischen biologischen und neuralen Prozessen mit menschlichem Erleben und Verhalten.
Inhalte:
Aufbau und Funktion von Neuronen, Neuroanatomie und Organisation des zentralen und peripheren Nervensystems, neurowissenschaftliche Methoden (z.B. EEG, fMRT, TMS, Tierphysiologie), Sinnessysteme, Sensumotorik, ausgewählte Themen der Biopsychologie (z.B. Plastizität, hemisphärische Lateralisation, Schlaf, Abhängigkeit)
