Der Grundkurs "Bewegungsspiele/Mannschaftsspiele" beschäftigt sich mit grundlegenden Strukturen der Sport- und Bewegungsspiele und den didaktischen Prinzipien des Erwerbs allgemeiner Spielfähigkeit. Im Zentrum stehen didaktisch-methodische Überlegungen zur Spielerziehung im schulischen Sportunterricht (z.B. verschiedene spieldidaktische und -methodische Konzeptionen, Prozesse der "Regelung" von Bewegungsspielen, Vermittlung spielübergreifender Fähigkeiten und Fertigkeiten). Aus folgenden Spielkategorien werden Ihnen ausgewählte Beispiele vorgestellt: Lauf-, Fang-, Staffel-, und Abschlagspiele, kleine Mannschaftspiele sowie vereinfachte Formen "klassischer" Mannschaftsspiele mit Bällen bzw. anderen Geräten, ferner Spiele mit Alltagsmaterialien, wieder entdeckte "Alte Spiele" und Spiele aus anderen Kulturkreisen. Zudem werden Möglichkeiten zur inklusiven Gestaltung von Bewegungsspielen aufgezeigt und erprobt.
