Die Studierenden lernen in diesem Modul die Funktion und Wirkungsweise von Medien kennen und können Bezüge zur Gesundheitskommunkation herstellen. Die Studierenden kennen verschiedene Theorieansätze der Medienwirkungs- und nutzungsforschung und können sie auf praktische Fragen der Nutzung von Medien für Gesundheitskommunikation anwenden. Sie verstehen die Besonderheiten der digitalen Kommunikation und kennen Felder und Besonderheiten von sozialen Medien.

Entwicklung, Typologie und Funktionen von Medien
Medienökonomie und Medienmärkte
Sender und Nutzer von Medien
Mediennutzungs- und Medienwirkungsforschung
Medienwahl
Medienpolitik

Die Anforderungen für die Studienleistung werden in der ersten Sitzung bekannt gegeben. Es handelt sich um Aufgaben, die jeweils den Stoff einzelner Sitzungen vertiefen.
Als Prüfungsleistung weisen die Studierenden den Erwerb der Kompetenzen in einer Klausur im Umfang von 90 Minuten in einer Modulprüfung, die auch den Inhalt von BHC14b umfasst, nach.
