Im Seminar werden wir gemeinsam den Zusammenhang zwischen Sprache und Mathematiklernen erkunden. Wir werden Sprache als Lerngegenstand, Lernmedium und Lernvoraussetzung kennenlernen, Funktionen von Sprache für das Mathematiklernen erarbeiten und Möglichkeiten der sprachsensiblen Gestaltung von Mathematikunterricht erproben, reflektieren und diskutieren.
Im Seminar bekommt ihr Raum und Unterstützung, um
• Merkmale mathematischer Bildungssprache zu benennen und sprachliche Stolpersteine in Aufgaben zu identifizieren, 
• verschiedene Sprachhandlungen zu unterscheiden und mit fachlichen Lernzielen in Verbindung zu setzen,
• Methoden der Sprachförderung im Mathematikunterricht kennenzulernen, 
• sprachliche und fachliche Lernziele zu formulieren und bei der Unterrichtsplanung zueinander in Beziehung zu setzen.
