Ziel der Einführungswoche ist es, den Studienanfängern und -anfängerinnen einen Einblick in das Spektrum der historischen Teildiszplinen zu geben, zu denen in Bielefeld gelehrt und geforscht wird. Dabei wird ihnen auch die Möglichkeit gegeben, einen größeren Teil der Lehrenden persönlich kennenzulernen. Anhand des Themas "Soziale Ungleichheit" soll in die Methoden und Arbeitsgebiete der Geschichtswissenschaft mit wechselnden Arbeits- und Präsentationsformen (Vorlesung, Seminar, Kleingruppenarbeit) eingeführt werden.
Erwartet wird eine aktive Teilnahme der Studierenden. Das bedeutet, daß eine Teilnahme nur sinnvoll ist, wenn Sie über das reine Kursprogramm hinaus auch Zeit für vorbereitende Lektüre und das Gespräch mit Kommilitonen einplanen.
Die Einführungswoche ist eine Pflichtveranstaltung für alle Studienanfänger und -anfängerinnen und ersetzt die bislang übliche semesterbegleitende Ringvorlesung mit Einführungskurs.
