230221 Love, Intimacy and Friendship (S) (WiSe 2023/2024)

Contents, comment

In this seminar we will examine cultural representations and philosophical conceptions of love, intimacy and friendship in order to examine the cultural politics of these very personal experiences. From Plato to Love Island, we will be asking questions about the meaning of love, intimacy and friendship for the individual, but even more so asking about meaning and power of these concepts in society and culture.
