Die Beratung und Begleitung von Eltern nimmt im schulischen Kontext durch den staatlichen Auftrag der „harmonischen Erziehungspartnerschaft“ von Professionellen und Eltern eine Schlüsselrolle ein. In der Regel spielen hierbei Aspekte von Differenz und Heterogenität eine wesentliche Rolle.

Unter dieser Perspektive erfolgt im Seminar eine Auseinandersetzung mit grundlegenden, sozialtheoretischen Ansätzen im Feld der Elternarbeit und -kommunikation. Einen besonderen inhaltlichen Schwerpunkt stellt hierbei der personzentrierte Ansatz entlang von Empathie, Wertschätzung und Kongruenz dar, der heute als eine Basis professionellen beraterischen Handelns und als Voraussetzung für den Zugang zur jeweiligen Zielgruppe im pädagogischen Feld gilt.

Das Seminar zielt darauf ab, die angehenden LehrerInnen und PädagogInnen in der angemessenen und verantwortlichen Gestaltung von Hilfe- und Beratungspraktiken zu unterstützen.
