Über Theorien zur sozialen (Klein-)Gruppe erfolgt eine Annäherung an den Komplex sozialer Konflikte mit dem Ziel, Verständnismöglichkeiten für konflikthaftes Verhalten in Gruppen zu entwickeln. Dazu werden Entwicklungslinien der Gruppenforschung verfolgt und zentrale Modelle bearbeitet. Diese werden auf Praxisfälle angewandt, um Verständnisse für die dort bestehenden Konflikte zu entwickeln. Gleichzeitig werden damit Anwendungsfelder für pädagogische Beratung sichtbar.
