Das Seminar findet digital, live zur genannten Zeit & z.T. digital, im Selbststudium (online synchron/asynchron) statt.

Im Fokus stehen die stetige Ausdifferenzierung der Jugendphase sowie sich wandelnde Perspektiven auf Jugend(en) im 20. Jahrhundert. Bedingt durch gesellschaftliche Veränderungsprozesse lassen sich unterschiedliche Deutungszuweisungen und Pluralisierungsformen für diese Lebensphase konstatieren. Erkennbar wird hierbei die soziale Konstruktion dieser Lebensphase, welche Diskussionsgegenstand des Seminars sein soll. Abschließend werden gegenwärtige Herausforderungen des Jugendalters kritisch thematisiert.
Aus der beschriebenen Perspektive resultiert eine starke Berücksichtigung der sozialen, gesellschaftlichen und generationalen Rahmungen zur Verfasstheit von Jugend, im Seminar werden jedoch auch die psychische Momente des Erwachsenwerdens in den Blick genommen.
