Das Seminar thematisiert die Frage nach Bildungsgerechtigkeit ausgehend von unterschiedlichen gerechtigkeitstheoretischen Ansätzen. Die Ansätze werden kritisch auf das ihnen zugrunde liegende Verständnis von Gerechtigkeit sowie auf die ihnen zugrunde liegenden Maßstäbe und Kriterien befragt, anhand derer sie Gerechtigkeit und Ungerechtigkeit im Bildungssystem bestimmen und "messen". Ausgehend von klassischen bildungstheoretischen Ansätzen wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie Bildung zu bestimmen ist und ein von diesem Begriff ausgehendes Verständnis von Bildungsgerechtigkeit aussehen kann. Die theoretischen Ansätze werden kritisch nach ihrer Bedeutung für unterschiedliche Zielgruppen befragt (SchülerInnen mit besonderem Förderbedarf, SchülerInnen unterschiedlicher sozialer Herkunft, mit Migrationshintergrund etc.).

Die Teilnahme am Seminar setzt die Lektüre und Vorbereitung der jeweiligen Grundlagentexte zu den einzelnen Seminarsitzungen voraus.
