Das Seminar findet digital, live zur genannten Zeit & z.T. digital, im Selbststudium (online synchron/asynchron) statt.
Solidarität ist ein spezifischer Typ sozialer Regelung, der nicht zuletzt als Antwort auf die neuartigen sozialen Probleme der industriellen Gesellschaft des 19. Jhr. entsteht (Hondrich/Koch-Arzberger). Mit “Solidarität” wird die Notwendigkeit der Anerkennung lebensweltlicher Strukturen betont, in denen die Anerkennung von einzelnen Subjekten erst zur Geltung kommen kann. Solidarität ist mithin ein auf den Erhalt und die Ermöglichung von Lebensformen zielendes Engagement, welches über die bloße Orientierung an Recht und Gerechtigkeit hinausgeht. Axel Honneth versteht in diesem Sinne gesellschaftliche Solidarität als jenes soziale Anerkennungsverhältnis, in dem jedes Gesellschaftsmitglied in die Lage versetzt wird, sich selbst in dem Sinne wertzuschätzen, dass es seine Fähigkeiten und Leistungen für den Gesellschaftszusammenhang als bedeutsam erfährt.
Jedoch tendiert ein solches Verständnis von Solidarität dazu, Solidarität als Bestandteil und Medium eines integrierten Gesellschaftszusammenhangs zu fassen und darin den Aspekt des kulturellen, (national-)staatlichen Eigenen zu betonen. Vor diesem Hintergrund plädiert etwa Oliver Marchart für eine „Entsolidarisierung mit dem Eigenen“ als Voraussetzung einer Solidarität, die auf Andere bezogen ist.
Was Solidarität allgemein und unter Bedingungen der Zunahme globaler Ungleichheiten und transnationaler Migration heißen kann, sowie welche Bedingungen Solidarität ermöglichen, wird in dieser Lehrveranstaltung zum Thema. Im Mittelpunkt steht allerdings die Frage, welchen Beitrag Bildung unter welchen Bedingungen zu einer Ermöglichung solidarischen Handelns leisten kann und wer von diesem Handeln einen Vorteil hat und wer nicht.

Studienleistung:
So die Lehre im Sommersemester ausschließlich digital erfolgt: Teilnahme an den ca. 10 Plenarsitzungen, Teilnahme an ca. 4 Treffen der studentischen KG über das gesamte Semester, Verfassen von 3 (bzw. 2 plus ein Kurzreferat) kürzeren, jeweils etwa 150 Worte umfassenden Texten bis Ende Juni und Verfassen eines ca. 600 Worte umfassenden Textes bis Ende Juli (entsprechende Aufgaben werden formuliert) , Anfertigen einer etwa 100 Worte umfassenden Notiz im Anschluss an ein KG-Treffen
