This seminar is for students who want to write their paper in PM2 and/or PM3 (not in linguistics!).
The seminar is a hands-on writing workshop, offering you the chance to:
- set individual and group writing milestones,
- work toward the successful completion of your individual PM2/ PM3 module papers,
- discuss the writing process/outcome with peers and the lecturer,
- improve your paper’s content (argumentation, objectives, clearly identified problems, convincing close readings and use of quotations, etc) and form (structure, well-organized argumentation, correct documentation of sources, etc),
- formulate thesis statement(s)
- consider the logistics of academic writing (style, register) and the paper’s contribution (presence/clarity of original ideas),
- practice coherence and cohesion in building arguments and writing the overall paper and, ideally,
- to write your module paper (or a major part of it) by the end of the semester.
NB: only students who have passed the BM2/Basis2 module are eligible for participation in this seminar!
